LSX guys are you running a catch can setup?
 

My car uses maybe 1/2 a quart between 5/6000 mile changes so I've never put one in. Do you all use one? If so which brand? I have hte LS6 PCV system, duh it comes in the car.

Yes , I run two AMW catch cans. One on the Vent side of the PCV system and one on the suction side of the PCV system. Remember @ WOT the PCV valve is closed and the engine is venting through the fresh air side. I accumulate oil in both cans. This mod keeps my intake manifold and my spark plugs significantly cleaner. AMW's kit is only designed to run one one the suction side , but this is inadequate for a roadrace/autocross vehicle. Oil control is crazy when pulling over 1g. !!!!!!

Do you have an LS6 style PCV? Can you throw up a pic of your setup?

My car is an '03 Z06, so yes it does have LS6 style pcv since it is a LS6. Will try to take pictures and post. Fabricated special bracket which mounts two cans to right cylinder head.

I've never had a problem since they changed to the 01' up Z06 style intake. I had one leak once, and determineed that the plastic baffle under the windage tray had come unglued. Apearantly this is a know problem, and can be fixed in just a few hours by pulling the intake, tray, pulling the plastic baffle off and re-siliconing it back in place.

David this is a known problem and it the first step in the re-ring. Once they've confirmed the car is using excessive oil they will first replace the valley seal then re-test then re-ring. My car's consumption went down by 1/2 by just fixing that seal, then the re-ring knocked it out.

The reason I posted up about this is b/c there are a few threads in general where owners w/ LS6 PCV setups are finding oil in their catch cans.

C4C5Specialist said the car is "suposed" to suck in the oil vapors and that nothing is really wrong, but I don't know. My lines are mostly dry and my car does not use oil.
