Not much of anything power wise you'd be likely to notice either way, but why would you want one of those old mechanical tach monstrosities???
they are EXPENSIVE to repair, needing parts and maintenance constantly, and the tach head by now is probably messed up too boot, get an electronic tach head from a '75-6 and have done with it...
nice conversions for speedo and tach can be accomplished with aftermarket instruments also, IF you take your time....

Mr vette...some people want to keep their Correct...Others do not.....I guess that is the reason...I want her all original...and that Hei distributor sitting in there does not look original.......Plus It is just as cheap to do it this way...

I think with all things being the same and both distributors working properly - the only difference you might notice is how quickly the mech. and/or vac, advances kick in. I'd put the new one in and then tune it to run at the optimum level. :chevy
