LG School thread closed. Why?

Just wondered why updates as to how the school is progressing can't be posted. The thread is closed:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...s&forum_id=100

I was wondering what the Feedback was for the March date, but that's now impossible to post under the old thread.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ probably

steve-d 03-25-2006 07:30 PM

Well actually I was wondering why the original thread was "closed"?
How is/was anyone to comment on the experience?

c4cruiser 03-25-2006 08:05 PM

The thread is 4 months old and it may have been closed at LG's request. Sometimes the Mods' will close a thread without posting a reason.

You could always PM one of the Mods and ask why :yesnod:

i'd bet that it's just been put into the archives because it's old. Space costs money

"I'm so sick of the brake dust and noise from my performance brake pads! We should sue GM."

"My stereo sounds great with the 2,000 watt amps and 15" subs, but my car seems slower and doesn't handle as well as it used to"

"My Z06 isn't as quiet as my Lexus. I'm going to Dynamat the whole car so I can talk on my cell phone in the car on the way to Hooters."

Nothing wrong with keeping up the appearance of the car. IMO, it's just a problem when the obsession gets in the way of enjoying the car.

I wax the race car. And we're getting the body panels back from the paint shop this week - to freshen it up.

And, admittedly, I use Zaino's quick detailer over the course of a race weekend to keep the car clean.

I truly despise brushing up against the car in the trailer and coming out with a big smear of brake dust over my pants / jeans / shorts / shirt.

Besides, the polish lowers the Cd, right? Has to be worth at least .2 seconds.........

I thought the dimples on the golf ball made it fly farther??? so Dirt( or paint protectent ) makes the car go faster.

Yeah.. There's something to that. Nike even developed a race suit for Lance Armstrong for the time trials that uses a dimpled fabric technology much like a golf ball. They say that it breaks up turbulance on the surface and increases aerodynamic efficiency.

It's amazing how clean everything is in F1. The race shops seem cleaner than operating rooms.

I didn't do it :)

At any rate, the school that I will be doing next will be at Sebring. You can go to my video site www.lgmracing.com and look under 2006 Sebring and check out the in car camera from the race.

The LG Advanced Driving clinic will be at Sebring on April 28th which is a Friday. This will be in conjunction with the regular Track day VRL event for the weekend.

You can go to www.theperformancedrivingschool.com to get all the information for these events.

I think you can learn Sebring better than you ever thought possible, at this event.

I look forward to working with all of you who have signed up for the weekend.

Thanks
Lou Gigliotti LGM

Sebring - Sebring, FL - April 28

Putnam Park Road Course - Mt. Meridian, IN - August 11

Hallett Raceway - Tulsa, OK - September 8

I did Lou's school at Willow Springs California. For me it was money well spent. The most valuable part for me was having Lou drive me in the car. Then you have a better idea for what to have as your goal. I am definately faster now. It took a bit of time to digest all the info, I just got back from another race school this weekend (not driving a vette) and people who know me asked me who lit a fire under my A$$. I'm definately faster and I have Lou to thank for it. I hope Lou teaches again somewhere in California next year. By the way Lou is a nice guy too.

Yah back in the 70s and 80s when I was racing bicycles we used thin tight marino wool jersies for the exact same reason. dimppled fabric or the weave. Funny how old technology makes it back under differnt names.

Look at the old 427 ci and the new ones. still 427 ci but a world of difference.

Oooooo Hallett, my stomping grounds! Maybe I can get my car ready by that time. I need to get with Anthony about setting my car up soon!
