Radio Theft Deterrent Lockout
I disconnected my battery and got my radio in a lockout condition. Unfortunately, I do not have a code and in the midst of trying to break the code the radio is in the INOP condition. I have archive threads that advise how to call to get the required codes. One of the threads says that if in INOP mode you must leave ignition in run for 1 hour. Is this the case or is there a way around this? Is the one hour cumulative or must you keep the ignition on for at least 1 hour continuously?
Thanks -- still learning the car, Dave K. |

Pleae note that I said that I was in INOP mode.

I don't think there is a way around the one hour thing. Take a long ride and enjoy yourself.

Dave K. As the article states, if you are in INOP you need to drive around 1 hr for the radio to go back to LOC. Then you can follow the steps. |
Could someone tell me if the 1 hour is at one time or is it cumulative, ex. 15 min., 30min, 15 min?

It is continous.
