Camaro is almost done, we are doing a small block conversion in the spring to the boat, my dads 68 Camaro is almost done as well, also have aton of stuff done to my 4 Runner and have to add a winch soon, and all my friends have projects and I have to buy a house soon and spend time with my chickie (though she is very busy with school which is good) and surf whenever there are waves....arggh I am going nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Corvette only has 50k original miles on it, they are hard miles but 50k nonetheless, I couldnt see doing a conversion, though I do know wouldnt be too difficult

You got what I would call the back half of the rear clip.
It could still be kept a vert ... but much more work than I thought.
I imagined you swapping it out at the firewall.

So, you are planning to use the rear quarters and taillight panel ?

That's a bit of fiberglass work, too. Why not save yourself the
aggravation and sell me the vette for twice what you paid ? deal ?

Camaro will hopefully in the body shop next week.

Recently purchased the following items at swap meets
-Ceramic coated headers
-Big block radiator - which I hope to adapt and use
-Aluminum finned Corvette scripted valve covers, propably off a 1965 or so

Gutted, cleaned my barn - put the Corvette on wheel dollies and it is now safely stored in the barn for winter. Once the Camaro is at the body shop I am going to pull the pan off of the 10.5 to 1 350 that was in another Camaro I onced owned. I will toss a new Corvette pan on it, detail the engine, detail the engine bay and then drop it in.

Hey Tim, did you see the 69 that George is parting out
in the parts-4-sale section ? It had fire in front part of body ...
and the rear clip is still unclaimed. He states that he may part it out (the clip).
Just thinking you might need a taillight panel. :seeya

If you run into radiator troubles, I have an early C3 4-core radiator in the garage.

I am about to drop a 350 and Muncie into my 69 and have some questions.

I am using a regular 403 bellhousing, not a scattershield or anything. Will the 350 with Muncie attached swing in and drop in easy or should I install motor then put tranny in from below?

I am also putting headers in, regular full length, common 2 5/8 tubes. Will these drop right in if attached to motor or trans during drop in or should I install headers after, do they pop up through the bottom or drop in down beside the engine from up top?

Pulleys, I need the original part numbers or the original part numbers o pulleys that will work with the standard short water pump - I have tons of pulleys in crates, so if I know a few numbers that will work correct, it will save me some time in test fitting etc.

I will take pics along the way, the Corvette will be a driver and at least at this point will not see the detail work that is in my 67 Camaro.

I appreciate the information. The motor will be Chevy orange, giving it a repaint tomorrow, also has quickly refreshed, correct finned valve covers.

The motor is from a 1985 Camaro I once built and owned, the motor is a pretty correctly dated block and heads. I bought the car back 7 years after I sold it, after the original owner let it sit and at one point let it sit in a foot of water. The person who bought it, a woman, drove it for 2 months then parked it. I went mid 12s on the street with it, so will be fun in the Corvette. I commuted with the car during college, was first motor I built, ported the heads etc.

The motor on the stand with the bag over it is a 12.5 to 1 350 that came in a parts buy, almost brand new, perfect shape, keep it as a spare for something I guess
