Try the C5 Z06 section - you should find more folks with experience in this area.

torchvette10 06-14-2006 07:51 AM

Better yet, go in the C5 Forced induction section.
We all run FI cars and will be able to help you out! I won't give details here since it is not the appropriate section!!
See you over there!

STS dude! Rear mounted and ambient-air cooled. With your budget, you can forge your engine too and push 1000+ hp if desired.
Just use the search option and type in STS, have fun man & good luck with that future weapon of mass ricer&euro destruction.

I would say the TTi X kit. EarlH, RoadRebel, EnderZ, Vetzilla, Torxilla, Bogielake, and myself are all local to you and have the X kit. Plenty of cars to check out as well you'll have access to the best installer and tuner in the area.

Cheers,

Mark

No doubt :)

This seems lie a Pretty good deal and could make 700+ rwhp easily with supporting mods/drivetrain upgrades, and still be in your budget. I agree about having Road Rebel do the install! He REALLY knows his stuff (and I heard he has a magic turbo cam available).

Good Luck!

If I were in the market for a TT I'd snatch that baby right up. That car hasn't even been driven. The owner has another twin turbo car and just doesn't have the time / motivation to run two twin turbo vehicles it sounds.

That kit comes will several extras (injectors, intake, etc) so it's really a great buy.

Aren't we "grandfathered in" and can go to the front of the line? :D

FFHP might be an option to consider too, although it is a single turbo kit. It can still transform your vette into a Monster!!!!

I'd be more than happy to scare the "shiate" out of you on a test drive. Like Mark said "WE have one of the PRIMO tuner/installers in the country right here". (Dr. Phil/RoadRebel)

ED, The guy only has 25k. That picture of the rear gear behind the licence plate in M/T is probably worth a 5k discount though

What the....? The kit is fully installed for 18K, with warranty. It won't be breaking like the 1200 hp C6, so don't get too worried about it there n00b.

mdhmi 06-15-2006 01:15 AM

It's more than $18,000. That isn't including any extras like a heavy duty clutch, transmission, hardened output shaft, differential strut brace, tires, brakes, boost or fuel gagues, boost controller, etc, etc. That price also doesn't appear to include a forged short block.

I'm sure LPE has a good product, but for that type of money I'd expect one hell of a lot more than 470-500 rwhp. For $20-25K I'd want at _least_ 600 rwhp and a forged short block to go with it.

Just my .02.

Agree!! with the budget and the potential rwhp output + ease of install, it is truly a great deal
