Hey chicago crew


who would be up for a track event
would have to be at GLD in Union Grove WI

we could do Friday night july 21st or Sunday July 30th

I will soon have my drag radials and wanna see what all my new found power will produce!!!!!

I know we have many high HP cars out here and would be great to see a large turn out

Sounds like fun but no can do.

Friday nights at GLD are usually bad.
High school night, imports.
Crowded lanes, poor conditions caused by above.

Sunday June 30th, I'll be at Rt 66 at the NMCA event - RACING!!!

A tuesday - wed night would be good. Get there early.
I need some test n tune!

Vic, you should paln on going to RSD's (Real Street Drags) on 8/19 @ GLD. You can T&T from 3pm-7pm then we can set up races for cash if you like with street cars. This is legit as myself and James do rather well. My car is set to get tuned on the 24th of July.

Check out this video of James wiping out this Mustang Track car. Let it download. His race was about 4:30 into the video. It was by far the best one of the night. James spotted him 4 cars and the hit for a G note.

Matt schedule say its not a HS event day??on the firday or sunday

thats why I picked those days but if you look at the schedule it does not metion HS kids day
I do see where they have days for them

I hope it cools off soon
oh well does not seem like there is much interest in this I guess I will let it die:willy: :smash:

Hey Vic, I'm up for a day at the strip. Have you heard anything on the night racing at Byron? I looked on thier website and they have no info.

I called thier home office and they said no night racing this year
but I was at a cruise night tonuight and some guys were saying they had temp lights??

I could try calling again

I saw that, but is that for everyone?
I also looked on their message board and one guy asked about the lights and there has not been a reply. Maybe if everyone starts e-mailing them and there is enough interest they will start doing some night races.

FWIW....

I'm thinking GLD this Friday.

I looked at the schedule.
HS night is now thursday AND no import night that night either.

So, I may go as I need to Dial in for NMCA.

Byron will be open this friday for Test and Tune racing
gates open at 2 pm and they start racing at 3 they will go till 830 pm

What we have here is a location issue as GLD is in my back yard.

Byron is 110 miles one way for me.:eek:

I'll be at GLD Friday when the gates open for testn tune.

I wish I could make it, but by the time I get out of work and out to the track it would be almost 7:30 :(

Thursday all the weather sites said no rain, then BAM outta nowhere.

Anyway, still need to dial in so I'll be GLD Sunday early, when the gates open. They have a Mopar program starting at 1:00 PM so I want to be on the trailer by then.

got there at 1 they opened the gates all was great racing ro start at 3 then it rained they dried the track out and almost started racing Bamm rained again!!!!:smash:


I think I will be coming out to your track on the 30th

Just saw this. Wouldn't have been able to attend anyway, but the thing on the 30th, might be very do-able for me. I'll know better as it gets closer (works been a b..tch).

Well I ran on Sunday. Great Day.
Got there at 9:30. Got 5 runs in before the MOPARS took over.
Was home and off the trailer by 3:00

Check out GLD's web site. I think they have Test n Tune almost every Tues-Wed-Thurs.

I'll be at Rt 66 next weekend:thumbs:
