Second Gear - Probably Good Advice

Drove the Tail of Dragon in 2010 in my 6 speed manual convertible with F55 set to sport. On the return trip I did way better than I thought I could do. I stayed in 2nd gear and kept ahead of all but one sport bike. You need way too much concentration to be worrying about shifting 1-2 and 2-1. I really developed a rythm.

The very best picture of me in my entire life was taken by one of the commercial firms there. Beautiful sunny day and clear view of my blonde wife and I through the windshield on one of the turns. When I have shown the picture, a lot of people think it is a Corvette commercial and then they say hey that's you and Jan.

I really really really want to go back - I love Appalachia!
