Base Price: $335 one day, $495 both days

Instruction:+ $30 per day (required for novices)

Duration: 2 days / 4 - 6 hours of track time per group!**

Timing: There are currently transponders available for rental

Laguna Seca Friday: Walkups registrants are more than welcome for this event, as there is plenty of space left.

Event Info:

Laguna Seca is a legendary 2.238 mile track in Central California, and one of the two most in-demand tracks in the west. Come out with us and you'll get the best track time per dollar value you'll see at Laguna. Test your skills on the world-famous corkscrew and compare your times to those set by the big names of ALMS, NASCAR, CART and the stars of yesteryear. Laguna Seca is a challenging course best suited to intermediate and advanced drivers.

Note: Noise Restrictions at Laguna Seca: We believe this will be a 92db day (rather than the usual 90db day), but are awaiting confirmation at this time. What does that mean? Basically a guy sits off to the right of the track and takes noise readings. If you go over the limit, you will be black flagged and told to go into the pits and figure out a way to quiet the car down. People with loud cars (RX-7's in particular) will need to make adjustments for this event. The most effective and easiest adjustment is simply lift off the throttle when you go by the sound station. Another option is to add a turndown to the exhaust, which you can do with a clamp-on. See this thread for more information.

There is no aftermarket rollbar requirement for this event.

*Novices in this case are those who have not driven on a track before.

Well John, ttt

Looks like LS got serious about filling open dates but I'm betting the
weekend will be the best bet. Hope to see the rest of the SV crew
over the weekend.

Damn, I really wanted to go to this event. I started making my to do list: sign up, change back to stock wheels so I can get my new R2's mounted on my spare rims, order new brake pads, email my buddy to borrow his trailer(again), coordinate with other local people going, etc...

Then I checked my VISA and checking account balances. Ooops:willy: With property taxes due this time of year it's too tight for me to blow an extra $500-$1,000 having fun at Laguna.

I need a job that pays me twice as much and doesn't require me to go to work.

For those that can go to this one, Have fun!! I'll be hanging out wishing I was there with ya.

John, hope to make both days but wondering, since SV is holding two
events at the same time is Aaron taking the Miata to HTM and you
bringing the powerful Exige to the High Speed LS? Or will you be
going to the handling track and sending Aaron off with still no ride
to watch us have fun at the corkscrew?

According to the SV newsletter I got today, it said Aaron is taking the Miata to Laguna.

Revived this since the Corvette entry is up to 10 cars and with the
weather looking better it should be a great weekend to run as well as for spectators:

There still seem to be a few spaces left depending on experience and
it is going to be a busy time at Laguna Seca with Team/Leadfoot
running on Thurs. and HOD sold out on Fri.

Also, since there was the other thread about tires, I noted that about
half the cars signed up are on street tires and one of the two days
doesn't even offer a novice group so not everyone is running on race
tires.
