Torch Red C5 vs. Victory Red C6
Ever want to compare?

Wow, VR and Torch are closer than I thought. PR, however, is
|
I had both colors and prefer my VR now over torch red.
|
I loved my 00 Torch Red, Truly a classic Corvette color but it was time for a change.
|
Nice pics:thumbs:
I've also had both, it seems the Torch Red has alot more orange in it. Sometimes I wish my VR were a little brighter, but I like it. Now my Velocity Yellow, that is BRIGHT:D Howard |
I would like to see a Monterey Red and a Precision Red together.
|
I've never seen a red I didn't like, but Torch Red is my favorite.
|
They are both beautiful!

Nice comparison. I am looking seriously at VR and it is close to Torch Red, just a shade or two darker which is a good thing.
|
Keep in mind the C6 is newer, so that'll account for a little more depth and richness to the color. The C5 might be a little "sun-faded" from age.
Either way, I think I prefer VR. |
Our C5 was Torch Red, our C6 is Victory Red.
Having looked at both cars in a wide variety of lighting conditions, I'll say that the Victory Red looks slightly better on a bright sunny day. Torch Red looks better on cloudy days, or early/late in the day. |
 VR  :flag:

I loved my Torch red '97 but I haven't looked back since I brought home my Precision Red C6. There was one Torch red C6 made in an effort to bring a bright red to the C6 due to all the outcry (public and private within GM) the result is Victory Red. I saw the car and it did nothing for the lines of the C6 at all. I love my Precision red beauty.

Just like the guy from the four letter company said, any color you want as long as it's RED!

Both nice but I still prefer Magnetic Red. But hey...how could you go 'wrong' with any color Vette? They're all good.

Orange??
I think that GearheadJIM is right. I just sold my Torch Red C5 and there is a drastic difference in the color depending on the sunlight. I took both of the following pictures within an hour of each other. The first one was in direct sunlight and the next one was taken when the sun went behind a cloud.

Ahhh red! Mine is VR and I love it! Thanks for the pics!

When I heard Torch Red was being discontinued and that the new red was Victory Red...I was a little concerned. But after I picked up my 07 VR Vert I was VERY happy with it. Long live RED Corvettes!!! |
