antenna mast stuck
 

I am trying to replace the bent mast on my '93. got the retainer nut off but the mast will not come out of the tube. do these get siezed? maybe penetrating oil? I have replaced many mast before and never had one stick like this.

Turn on the radio and let the antenna come out as far as it can and then just carefully pull the mast out.

If it still doesn't come out, you'll have to disassemble the antenna assembly by removing the 3 screws and center nut on the bottom of the unit to unthread and remove the antenna ribbon.

I sprayed a little penetrating oil on it to see if it was siezed. I may be taking the unit out :willy:
