Sunray DX 67 and 68 L88's
Who owns the 67 and 68 Sunray DX L88 race cars today? Just found a few pic's that I had from the files of Sunray Oil Co from decades ago.

Not sure where this was. I'm sure someone will recognize the track. Pic was from 1968. |

Dave Morgan, driver of one of the 68 cars. (at least in this pic) The note, still clipped to the orig pic after all these years, says, "Thanks j (lawson) much better time this time". (my old notes below that) |

The pictures from St. Louis, Mo.
What track was that?? From what I can see, It reminds me of Mid American Raceway. Truthfully, I'm not old enough to have been at that race. But I think M.A.R. was open. It was in Wentzville, Mo. about 40 miles outside of St. Louis. That track open and closed a few times. I think its closed now. For that matter it is probably a subdivision full of homes. There is a huge building boom out in that area. |
great pictures thanks for posting.
The picture of Dave Morgan looks like he is in the 67 because both 68s have no tops. |
Joe58 posted one of his very nice Yenko pics of the Sunray cars

Wonder where the road draft tube is for the 67? I gave one to the owner of that car about 25 years ago. (well, I didn't exactly give it to him)
I see the 68 car has one. Cars look excellent!! |
