car stalls after bypassing vats!
well a few days ago i was having problems with the car so i disabled the vats by splicing the wires behind the center councel and now the car starts but cuts off after like 2 sec. what can this be?

VATS needs to be disabled in the chip or bypassed with the correct resistor at the bottom of steering column. Sounds like you bypassed the start enable relay. :lurk:

get the painless module to bypass it if you are sure that VATS is the problem

Then order the bypass module from Mid America, Ecklers or elsewhere. As stated above the VATS connection is found by removing the panel below the steering column. Instructions will be included with the bypass module. At least it should be. |
