What a crock of crap from a ebay seller.

I bought this bumper.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3091222&rd=1,1
And then I get this email from the seller..

Hello Terry,
I am sorry to report that the bumper cover was sold to a walk in customer monday afternoon. We buy and sell items all week long and do our computer listing updates on friday afternoons. This was one of those items that remained on our listing because the next update would not take place untill friday. Again we apoligize and offer a $25 discount on any other item in our listing over $100. If we can help in any other way please let us know.
Thank You
Jim Schwarz

100$ for a damaged original saggy urethane bumper? Looks to me like you got off good, why would you want that thing?

If I lived in the US you could have my original one for free.

Send him a copy of the usual "Bidding on this constitutes a contract" etc the so many sellers have in their adds. They are supposed to adhere to that too.

It won't do much good, but you can report him as a fraud to eBay.

Good Luck :)

You may have done an even better thing, at least for others. Now at least several thousand Corvette owners have a chance to see this and not buy. I would post this is each of the "general" areas for all to see. Sounds like he got a better offer, or used it in a repair if he has a body shop. I would also report him to Ebay. People like that are what give Ebay a bad rep. I have bought and sold many things on there, but it just isn't as friendly as it was 5 years ago.

LemansBlue68 03-07-2007 09:37 PM

See if he'll give you a prompt and full refund. If he does, I'd give him a neutral FB and an unfavorable comment. If he gives you any guff, give him a negative FB and report him to ebay as a fraud. You bought a bumper, not a discount on more of his crap that he may, or may not send.

Burned

This forum should institute some type of feedback system. I have never been burned on fleabay, but got burned on my first purchase here. After moderator closed the post,I was notified by another forum member, that he too, had been burned just a few weeks prior, by the same member. My local package store displays bounced checks under their glass counter top, why can't we post a list of who is burning members?
