who makes the Brightest LED 3157 bulb?

I have acrylic blackout front turn signals and I'm not happy with the brightness of my front running lights. I need an amber 3157 LED bulb that really cranks out the lumens.

what do you reccomend?

thanks.

I got the same at Pep Boys for $12/pair last weekend, but I haven't put them in yet so I can't vouch for brightness.

given the prices for the autolumination LED bulbs, do you all think that i would get better light by replacing the corner light Housings with euro style (clear) housings, or by replacing my standard LED 3157 bulbs?

If you have blackouts, you are going to need to stick to incandescent bulbs. The LEDs still can't compete with them as far as output when just replacing them using the same socket. Then only way they can is to use a lot of them, and that usually means replacing the housing like the LED tail lights.

That depends on your needs and how dark your blackouts are. If they are true blackouts you may have trouble getting good illumination with any bulb. If they are dark amber these two options may work for you. I have some smoked amber housings to install and plan on trying the Silverstars. I can let you know how it comes out.

If I went with clear housings I think I'd go with the LEDs for the cool factor.

thanks, I think i'll get the euro housings first for a better reflective pattern and if that doesn't make it look better, i'll get the high flux bulbs.

I purchased these Silverstars and, in my opinion, they looked no different than the stock bulbs. They cost way too much and burned out way too fast. Save your money.
