Screen Saver

Hey Buddy, there was a previous post about a screen saver of a small block chevy motor going together. Not exactly what you were looking for, but still pretty cool.

A lot of us would dearly love to have a CAD drawing of this. Frame and body too! It's not easy to find if it's out there. Twin Turbo had some suspension parts I believe but I haven't seen him around lately. And there was a guy in Canada who was working on a 6-link IRS assembly a while back also. Don't know where he's at with that.

My skills with AutoCAD are pretty basic and I haven't made much progress. Our cars have very few straight lines.

Fathom 427 - that's a great link. Thanks.

resurrecting a very very dead thread, literally 12 years later
i would do terrible things for that cad file

Kid Vette 05-16-2019 09:11 PM

I have TT's Solid Works files of the rear suspension.

jokeitch 05-17-2019 03:26 AM

like, rear suspension linkages? or the entire rear frame assembly?
would TT even be ok with your sharing it? I guess they're not exactly around to say no...

I'm a computer idiot.....just what are you guys doing with these CAD images?

Buccaneer 05-17-2019 12:41 PM

You can reach Marc (twin turbo) at his website VetteMOD http://vettemod.com/forum/index.php I know Marc has a lot of drawings that he did which started back when he was heavy into the CFI scene on the Crossfire Injection Vault forum back in the day. I haven't seen him here for some some time. WOW! It's been that long already.

Me personally? rough planning fitment and location for an electric hot rod conversion
In general though, having cad files around and centralized is super helpful for the community overall

I have a dwg of the 6-link design by Pier Paolo, plus a modified version for the batwing on the 80-82. I used that to model it in Solidworks.
