Best Spark Plugs for C5, what are you using ?
 

I know that this topic was talked through some times, but i did not find information about this in the search function.

What plugs are you useing?

-AC Delco OEM (guess they are the 100000 mile platin plugs)
-AC Delco "Rapid Fire" Perf. Spark Plugs
-BOSCH Platinum Plugs
-Splitfire Spark Plugs (50000 mile Plugs)

Any problems with missfire, detonation, interference with radio?

I've seen alot of guys on the forum using the NGK plugs.

I have been testing different sparkplug types related to misfire issues and at this time have a funny feeling NGK brand increases misfire.
For that brand I have tested the 44s and TR6 using gaps of 0.38 to .060.

I had less misfire when using Autolite's version that is a step colder as a TR6 is and got less misfire.

I have took plugs, their wires and even the coils from pistons with no misfire and swapped them with ones that did have misfire and of all the swaps, vendor brand caused amount of misfires a piston has.

I will test Delco next.

I have used the Bosch Platinum +4 Plugs for the last 20k miles and have had good results. Better throttle response, no misfires, gained 1/10 in the quarter mile at the track. No downside from what I have seen and I drive her every day plus participate in both track and drag events. Plugs show little wear after 20k and will probably continue to use them.

I am using NGK TR-55, work fine for me, even with 91 Octane.

Thanks, i guess next time i will try the Bosch.
