New "2000" C5 purchase

Purchased a 2000 corvette with 60k and priced at 28k. Car was purchased from a _ _ _ MAX car dealership without a drive or physical inspection. Dealership will give 5 days to inspect the car and return if unhappy. Question is who in the Hartford, CT area is a good source for a vette inspection that will check the car's condition. Any members information would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance :)

Go to the Northeast section and ask for slowhawk. He might of changed his screen name, but eople whill know what you are talking about. They have a good shop in CT, that is very well known around here.

Kinda what I was thinking. But, still time to take it back. Plenty of great cars for sale on this board for that price.

Does return mean you get your money back or you get to buy another car? I think, as others have already said, you paid too much. At $28k, you are talking '03 or low mileage '02cars.

:iagree: Torch Red Y2K for $24.5 with 28K on the clock, purchase last Sept. I think you need to deal. But again, if you like the car that is what counts.

Who cares what he paid, is he happy? That is not the info he was looking for.

He should care what he paid. Money in your pocket is better then money in someone elses. Or maybe I'm just crazy.

Barring another answer, if you can't find a specialist, call around to different GM dealers and try to find one that moves a high volume (as high as can be moved in the NorthEast) of Corvettes.

Agreed, overpriced. We should tell him that he was ripped off, unless the car has *serious* modifications we were not told about.

I live in the tristate area, 2000 coupe w/41k miles... paid 21K for it. That is crazy money for that car.

Sounds outrageous doesn't it? I gave that about a month ago on a 04 coupe with 31K.

WoW!!!! thats out of the ball park. I just paid 19k for a 99 c5 w/21k on the spedo.

It sounds a bit pricey, I'll agree, however I just purchased my '98 with 44,000 miles for $20,000. I paid significantly to find the color I wanted with the right owner (one owner, older gentleman all the service records) and am happy as a bug in a rug with the car. If he did something similar (had something in mind) then I guess he got what he wanted :)
