Would Vortec heads work?

My brother has a set of Vortec heads that he had heavily worked over for his 5.7L truck..he never used them...he is sending me the specs on them in a day or two but for now would these be a direct bolt on for my 2000?

vortech <> LS1 They won't work. The early vortech's were based off the old SBC. Ls1's are totally different.

:nono: No Sir.

The vortec heads will never work. They are completely a different designed head than the LS1 heads.
1.) The Intake and exhaust ports are known as having siamese ports. Meaning they are right next to each other in the middle.
2.) The LS1 intake and exhaust ports are spaced apart evenly.

There still good bolt on heads for a (sb1) carbureted engine. They make an intake for it to convert it from fuel injection to carburetor. If you do not want them post them on e-bay i bet some one picks them up,especially if he had them worked:cheers:
