Nice pics Widebody. Love Mid-Ohio, even in the wet. BTW, been meaning to ask, did you find the fastback to make very much of a change to aero balance and/or top speed, or would other changes have made that hard to gauge?

In it's final rebuild as a fastback after this crash in the S's in 77, so many thinks were changed as allowed by new IMSA rules it would be hard to guage how much difference the rear body changes made but I would think the aero changes would be significant at speed. Notice how the old rear clip was add ons, the new rear clip was a one piece custom unit. The original 75 front clip which had been torn in half was put back together and is still on the car. All bodywork was ACI for Greenwood.

Not a C3, but how about one of the cars that started the racing heritage? Sometimes a day on the job can be gratifying as we had to unload a trailer for repairs. This was in 1989.

The Henri Greder racing site is great.BTW,did you decide on what Greder paint scheme you are going with?
|
I love those Cheetah's! Probably scarey to drive, but they have to be fun.

Definite focus on the First National car, as it will go with the 68...But I am always getting the urge to paint it yellow like it appeared at Le Mans 1970. I will actually though do the later car, as it is to me the neatest color scheme, as well as the best "flash" to tell the story.
JOE How bout a before and after? Now this is the #4 car which was a 1968coupe...any idea of the vin on this one? http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o.../L88LeMans.jpg http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...lue/LeMans.jpg |
What sites do you find all these pics on?BTW,the #2 yellow paint scheme is pretty cool too.Either way i am sure it will look great...JERRY

Sadly these weren't so vintage when they were taken. I feel so old....
First Auto-x/HPDE car, yes it's a real LT-1. Right after the pic was snapped, it stepped out on me. Didn't lose it, but did the rest of the carousel WoO style. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...g/Scan0003.jpg Me on the front straight at Pocono in my dedicated track car, a '68 small block. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...g/Scan0002.jpg My current racer, hopefully bodied as a '96 Grand Sport and running next year. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...g/Scan0004.jpg And my "street car project" built from mostly race car cast offs. Say what you will, this is going to be a screaming driver...if I can finish it before I die.... [/IMG]http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...can0001jpg.jpg |
