What psi for Michelin Cups?

Running a C6 z w/ cups and met a guy here who is really fast and says he runs his cups 28 psi hot (max)! starts the day at 23, he says the grip is great in the mid-upper 20's. I've been starting my sessions around 29-30 and getting up to 34 after 35 min. I have noticed a little sliding as the psi went up. Using 345/30/18 x 13 and 295/35/18x10 on ccw corsairs. what do you guys thinkof this? anyone else out there running these tires w/ psi this low? let me know I's goona try starting with 25 psi at Sebring Sun am.

Those tires are really hard to dial in the tire pressures. They work great when just right, sounds like you might want to listen to your buddy.

Front 25 cold
Rear 28 cold

ran them first session at 25 cold all around, great traction but heated up to 30. 2nd session went down to 24 cold and kept them to 28 max. traction was very good

Great traction, nice. Glad to hear it. Michelin makes their tires to finish strong, so they take a little longer to come in.
