These look as though they would fit the LS3 also, does anybody know? Looks like the same straight and offset rockers.

I will see what I can dig up on that.

THe LS3 has an offset rocker but from what I can tell they are 1.7 ratio.

big bollas 01-26-2008 08:53 AM

Thats correct, the LS7 uses 1.8

Are these the stock LS7 ratio?

You say these would good "as an upgrade to your stock LS7 rockers".

Do you mean just simply because of the Harland Sharp bearings, or because they have a different ratio from the stock LS7 rockers?

The post by big bollas indicates that the LS7 uses a 1.8 ratio rocker for the OE rocker.

TIA,

Bob :flag:

Yes the stock ratio is a 1.8 and yes the bearing upgrade is the reason they would make a good upgrade to the stock rockers. There were problems with some of the stock needle bearings falling out and this is a good solution. This set has already been sent out and completed so you would not have any down time. Hope this answers your questions.:)

My point is will these work with an LS3? Even if they are 1.8's they would be an upgrade to the LS3's 1.7.

any hp to be gained by installing or is it just more dependable setup

T-Bones Goat 01-27-2008 10:50 PM

There would not be any HP gains. You just would not have to worry about needle bearings getting flushed throughout your motor! There are a couple of Harland Sharp stickers included....maybe worth 5-10rwhp.

I'm pretty sure these will not work on LS3's. The valves are different lengths and have different geometry I believe. Don't quote me though...
