Zip Tie Mod Vs. Aftermarket CAI

I want to know what is the differences between the two. If I do the Zip Tie Mod is like doing a CAI. What gains will I see between the two?

You probably mean the flip tie mod which is almost like a cai. There are mods out there to make it scoop up more air.

yea but I wanted to know if it worth doing th flip tie mod or should I just buy an aftermarket cai.

I think I'm probably the only one to do the "Flip-Tie" mod. I removed a VaraRam to do the modification, but not because there was anything wrong with the Vararam. The Flip-Tie is still on my car and I haven't had any problems with it so far. I have no experience with any other induction except the stock system. In short it was worth it to me.

Juggling around if I want to do this or just buy aftermarket CAI. I'm getting ready to put a LS6 intake and 85mm TB on my car.

Another one who has done the 'Flip Tie' mod...Getting the hole correctly positioned was a bit difficult (my air bridge just barely reaches). Otherwise, I'm happy with mine...

I did it too.. Pretty simple 8-10rwhp.. Saved $300.00.. I,don't drive my C5 in the rain.. If you do just remember you have a 350 hp wetvac...:nonod:
