Repop 68/69 exhaust bezel quality?
 

How are the aftermarket exhaust bezels for 68s? I'm looking at a NOS pair, but may not go that route if the repop quality is good... not fair, good.

I bought a set of repo bezels for my 68,they were good .then i found a set of NOS(online).Bought them. They were not great at all. Basically, a lot of times NOS chrome is poor quality since GM wasnt really concerned about car shows. Also,a lot of NOS parts you find today are factory "rejects " that were not good enough to put on a car. Hope that helps. If you do find some GM ones make sure you can look at them close or have very detailed photos,as again they may not be what you expect.:thumbs:

Got my bezels from Corvette Central, they look fine and installed with no problem

The rechromer told me most of the chrome parts made by GM were not great--not making show cars--and they have defects that make them difficult/very expensive/impossible to rechrome--didn't want to waste my money. The tips--I bought another set of SS and are having them rechromed. The next problem was he wouldn't rechrome anything made in China--because of the poor quality metal. Start asking your suppliers and ebay sellers if their parts are made in US--you are going to have trouble finding quality US made parts. Finally bought a set from Paragon and are having them rechromed.
