cool. can they be painted? they don't have a uniform black color, so they will have to be covered up.

jdmvette 04-22-2008 08:01 PM

also, how are you fastening them to the car?

jdmvette 04-22-2008 08:03 PM

another thing, if you flipped the two rear guards, can they be mounted to the front side of the rear wheelwell?

:U

Those look terrible on the new Z's and can't imagine you putting them on a C5. IMHO.

moserbe 04-22-2008 08:58 PM

I can't decide whether I like the look or not.

and if they were fingerprints i would think the vendor would wipe them clean before they posted pics of the product they're trying to sell.

I'm running 305's on the rear and these guards will help stop more chips. I think they look better than the other options. I'm waiting to see how the people who have ordered them like them. If it a  .. I'm in!!!

Let me clear one thing first about the pictures.

Our new confirmation sample is in prime (grey color) not in black. We didn't have time to paint it in black and then installed on Chris' car. So we just use the old pictures to do some touch up to make it darker. So please don't focus on the color. The final actual products will be in very even color like our C6 Splash Guard.

For us, what we concern the most is if the parts fit right, not the color is even or not. The color issue is very minor to us. As long as we spray same paint it will come out completely even.

Now to answer about how to install the parts---------

For Front Wheel, we reuse the two existing screw holes and we use 3M tape for the upper tapering section.

For Rear Wheel, you need to drill one screw from underneath. Then the whole vertical wheel well will be secured by 3M tape + 3M adhesive promotor.

At the upper corner of the wheel well we do pre-drill one extra hole with extra screw that we provide for extra security if customer want to go for it. (it's just an option to car owner to decide)

Yes, our parts are ready to paint if you want to. But most of customers are just using the way it is.

I think they look pretty good. The price is out of the range that I would spend for them though.

Good luck with the sales.

I think you'll be happy. Jersey and the guys at Apsis are very concerned about the fit and my car spent a many hours at their place so they could get them to fit correctly.

The front splitter in the other thread looks great too.

I'd be really interested to see how well these fit the L5 flares. Judging by how much fitting guys are having to do to make the C6Z ones fit, I don't think the price is unreasonable, especially if they won't need to be painted. Will these be available in carbon fiber?
