I'm looking for an NOS Delco Remy headlight switch - 1995131.

Thanks,
Todd

Todd,

I was looking through a few pictures you sent and noticed you already have a #131 headlight switch currently installed. Does it not function correctly or just wanting one in reserve? If you need parts to repair your current one I have a few from some older #131 switches if needed.

Talk with you soon,
Craig

Just wanting to keep one in reserve...

I'm buying backups for most of the switches and other small items that may break or wear out over time just in case I need them someday. I plan to keep this car indefinitely and do plan on driving it often.

Thanks,
Todd

Roger that. See you soon.

available switches..

What do you think of the currently available Delco and repro switches....Looks like there are two different repros out.... Check out rockauto.com.

I imagine that some of the repro parts would be fine as replacements for the factory switch, but I like the idea of using an original Delco Remy switch if I can. Other than a glove box light switch, I do not have any experience with any of the repro switches yet. The glove box light switch I bought was junk (from China), and I ended up replacing it with a used original part as soon as I could find one.

As I mentioned to Craig, I'm just picking these up where I can to hold as replacements if I ever need them. So far, I've been surprised at how many different switches I have been able to find and how reasonable they have been priced.

My experience with antique Fords has been that most repros don't fit/function quite like an OEM part, so I seek out NOS parts there whenever I can too.

Thaks,
Todd
