2008 7 spoke chrome wheels...you like?

I have an 08 JSB coupe and I'm thinking of ordering the new GM chrome 7 spoke wheel from GM partshouse. Has anyone seen these wheels yet and do you like them?

POACHR 05-07-2008 11:04 PM

i have seen them and think they are one of the ugliest wheels that GM sells for the vette...but thats my opinion, get what you like!

A friend of mine put them on his new CRM C6.

Wouldn't be my first choice but he likes them.

Not Bad

I would suggest seeing them in person first. They are alot of coin!!

PolishDude 05-07-2008 11:26 PM

saw them in person, looked like crap to me, especially for the money

AORoads 05-07-2008 11:26 PM

I like them, but not as much as the "gumbys."

Everybody has their own favorites but both the 7 spokes and the 15 spokes look pretty nice in real life. Also, they are forged, not castings.

It looks like GM is making the 7 spokes standard equipment on the C6's that they are building for Hertz:

bosco 08 05-08-2008 12:39 AM

anyone know the weight of the forged 7 and 15 spoke wheels?

Silverspeed 05-08-2008 12:57 AM

I like the 7 spoke, but have never cared for the 15 spoke.

humvet 05-08-2008 01:11 AM

Better than Gumby's ;)

Bad06vette 05-08-2008 02:21 AM

I would definetly suggest looking at them in person first...

My seven spokes were about 2 pounds per wheel lighter than the stock 2007 painted wheels. I don't remember the exact numbers (but posted them here a year ago, so you could search)

debatable.

Personally, I think the 7s and 15s are very "heavy" looking. Very thick spokes. I prefer either of the factory 5-spokes, or many aftermarket wheels. The build quality is nice. See some in person first.

chucky7 05-08-2008 07:39 AM

looks like hubcaps to me

Glennm27 05-08-2008 07:40 AM

I don't like them. They are on the Hertz ZHZ Rent-a-Vette.

They look a thousand times better than those gawd awful dreaded ugly azz gumby wheels. The 7 Spoke Wheel (chrome, polished and painted) should have been the standard wheel for the 08 model year. I like! :smash:
