Track Day On 8/14/08 At Pocono With Viper Club
 

The Viper Club Of N.j Is Going To Be At Pocono On The 2.5 Mile Single Infield Course On 8/14/08. All Other Types Of Cars Are Welcome. Anyone Interested In Playing Wth Some Vipers On That Day ?

always a good event. I missed the last two but I was a regular. Possible this year if I have chance to get the car together.

Wish it was another time of year--don't Vipers have issues with cooling their oil stock too?

Been to this event a few years in a row myself and enjoyed it. Lot's of track time...

They don't have cooling issues as none of them go fast enought to generate enough heat:lol:

TTP will be in attendance August 14th with SuperchargedZ06.. We should have both the Silver C6 and the Blue C5Z (Deemed by a nice gentleman from last weekend as a "rocket ship") out to play..

Who else is going to come down? We should all setup together seeing as we will be out numbered!

:lol: out numbered the last 3-4 years I went to the I was the fastest around the course. Not the fastest down the straight. One guy had a huge nitrous bottle in the rear of the Viper like a skin diver tank.:lol:

They were really disappointed when I told them I had a 346 H&C:lol: It took a few years but the last time a bunch of them came over and said "You got us all":lol: Great fun doubt I will have the car ready. Being during the week I will probably be busy with work. I missed the last two years so I am sure there will be better competition now I would hope. They are fun to run with for-sure and I do love the Viper.

There Will Be Some Track Prepped Vipers There This Year. Anyone With A Corvette Plan On Going ? There Will Be A Lot Of Track Time.

Adel who ran WC was usually there and some Viper comp coupes. They were never much of a problem but a lot of fun to run with. If I had to pay 10,000 dealer cost 13,000 list for a hood like the Viper guys I would be crawling around the track.:eek: It never sells out so I would love to go if my car is done. The Vipers can run over the top of me and it is still a great day. I burned 3 tanks of fuel one year:D

This sounds like a fun event. Can someone give me contact information on signing up? What is the deadline?

you can pay at the gate never sold out as it is usually a week day.

I notice they require fire suits for intermediate & advanced. I don't have one so I could only run as a novice. Have any experienced drivers run in the novice group? Would slow traffic be a problem? I have lots of experience but running street tires - my best times are 1:42s on this track.

Track is big as you know and there are not that many cars so it should not be to bad. Line up in the front to get a better shot. Track usually produces times from 1:30- 2:10. Usually less than 40 cars at the event.

well running with the porsche club this week at nj motorsport lighting track for three days would love to run with the vipers count me in :reddevil
