Worlds Fastest C5 Corvette???
 

Customer brought us his 04 C5 corvette in hopes to be the worlds fastest IRS corvette. Just thought some of you might like to see some pics of the build in progress. Setup is an LSX 408ci motor with ET 265 6 bolt per cylinder heads and twin 78mm ball bearing turbos:thumbs: Everything you see is fabricated here in house. This setup will be making 2000hp and still have cold blowing A/C!:crazy:

Looks like it will be a monster. What exactly do you mean by world's fastest? 1/4 mile, standing mile, salt flats? Either way, best of luck :cheers:

Does look like some nice work!

I would imagine it is going to be tough to setup the car to do both. By the time the car is complete, you'll probably need to run 7's @185 in the 1/4 to be the fastest/quickest (assuming Bill continues to progress with his new setup) and the standing mile I'm guessing the C5 record is around 220 or so. What trans are you going with? Definitely will be one helluva car. Best of luck with it :cheers:

That's a tall order considering some of the cars that are out there, but if his car runs anywhere near what your car runs, it's entirely possible! :thumbs: Good Luck!

7 seconds WOW! Great pictures of the build and 2000hp is amazing.

Nice thick hose coming out of the fuel tank!

If I were to do my -8an fuel system again, I would bolt a pipe as armor inside the driver's side rocker panel, and run the fuel hose through that instead of the hot transmission tunnel.
