Here is how to trash a rim
I know this is not a Corvette rim, but I thought you guys might appreciate seeing this. I was driving with my wife to work (saving some gas) and this is what I picked up. Right through the rim.
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d5...nar/wheel1.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d5...nar/wheel6.jpg I have not had the wheel broken down yet to see what it is. I't hexagonal, looks like a tool of some sort. I hated the Pirelli's that we had on the car, so I put new Pilot Sports on her C70. Much better ride. It was just a fluke that I had a spare rim in the garage. I had curbed one of the wheels in Norway when we picked it up last year. I was so ticked off, I had a new rim put on and then had the old one repaired. Dumb luck. |
John, just pound it out and geta welder to fix it.
Probably it's still good  |
welder will fix that.
or a wood screw coated with some permatex. |
Looks like Dewey nailed you....
|
Damn - I have seen some big nails, etc. in tires before. That's the first time I have ever seen anything go through the rim !!! That is going to be expensive.
