What is the weight of an LS7 motor?
Any help would be appreicated. I have a complete LS7 motor to ship and I don't know the weight to get a good quote on the freight. I don't want to estimate and get it too low. Any ideas on this guys?
I can guess the weight of the crate, so just the complete motor weight. Thanks |

You're kidding, right. Original all cast iron small blocks were about 570 lbs and big blocks were pushing 700. LS-7 engines are basically in a power to weight class of their own. Imagine another 200 lbs, hanging over our cars front axle. That's rather ugly.
