Predator

It seems the Diabolo Predator is the tuner of choice. For a 2006 C6 6sp with K&N cold air and Corsa Sport cat back exhaust Kooks 1 3/4 long tube headers what model do you recomend?:willy:

You need a U7194.

you will need to get a custom tune made for those headers tho... to disable the rear O2 codes... but diablosport or I can do that for ya and it doesn't cost anything...

but if you get the SLP version Predator, their SLP tunes they have in it should have tunes already made for headers... SLP creates their own custom tunes...

you'd need SLP part #27006T -- 2006-07 Z06/2006-2007 C6 LS2 Corvette Handheld SLP Custom Tuned DiabloSport II

===================================

Looking for the most powerful PCM-tuning tool on the market? Unlike typical off-the-shelf programmers, the 2006-07 Z06/2006-2007 C6 LS2 Corvette DiabloSport II by SLP comes armed with ultra-hot custom tunes (replacing the Standard Diablo Performance Tune) developed specifically for your LS2 or Z06 Corvette. The LS2 tunes include the popular ZL435 and ZL465 PerformancePac™ packages and now our Ultimate Corvette package, ZL500. The 2006-2007 Z06 Tunes include SLP's Performance Tune matched to the SLP 4-2-1 Long Tube Headers. Through extensive testing on our in-house dynamometer, our engineers were able to determine the precise levels of spark and fuel required to achieve optimal horsepower and torque at each rpm increment. As an added bonus, the ZL465 and ZL500 PerformancePac™ tune when loaded, automatically assumes correct calibration for Corvettes equipped with long tube headers and high flow catalytic converters.

In addition to its dyno-proven performance programming, this portable, easy-to-use unit allows you to fine-tune a wide range of computer-controlled power train functions for maximum power and drivability if adding parts beyond the PerformancePac™. Each custom program has ignition timing and fuel optimized for each package, allowing you to plug in the tune, download the tune, and hit the street.

NOTE: If your vehicle is not equipped with all parts included in each ZL PerformancePac™, do not worry, the tunes will still provide industry leading power gains.

Isn't there a header tune already in the U7194?

06MonteSS 10-20-2008 02:00 PM

the older 8rXX revisions (8r07, 8r08, 8r09, 8r10) had one... but the new ones do not. if he's buying a new one, it will be on revision 9r05, and the newer 9rXX revisions do NOT have a header tune on them anymore... and, with the new predators on 9rXX revisions, you can not go backwards to an older 8rXX revision either.

so, he will need to get a custom tune created.

Hawai thats the one I ordered #7194 but Monte your saying I got the wrong one? If so I need to call the dealer in the morning before they ship it out and change:willy:

nope, you got the right one.. the U7194... no worries... ;)

I was just saying, the NEW ones, don't have the ability to disable the rear O2 codes anymore for headers... you'll just have to get a quick custom tune made to disable the rear O2 codes, that's all...

hell, I can even create that custom tune for ya if ya want... or, contact diablosport on their forums and they can do it too... ;)
