Rumor has it next year Larry is driving for Allen Johnsons new top fuel team.. You heard it here first.

Dixon has been the odds-on choice for several weeks to hold the wheel in Johnson's pipe-rack as Del Worsham's teammate, but his contract with Snake extends into '09, and supposedly DPR is holding Dixon to that contract:

I've been a big Larry Dixon fan ever since 95 or 96 when I got heavy into drag racing. It could be a great career move if he goes to Allen Johnson's team, but it'll be a sad day if he does leave Don Prudhomme Racing.

I agree with you 100% Harrison. Time will tell but I don't see Prudhomme releasing Dixon early from his contract.

Johnsons budget is said to be $60,000,000! That kind of money can do a lot of persuading and Dixons replacement, Spencer Massey, is already under contract...

Dixon buys-out remaining time on contract with DPR

Now Johnson has two great drivers in Larry and Del. What a great opportunity for both drivers. Next season is going to be great to watch!
