Easiest way to lube the tach and speedo cable
What’s the easiest way to lube my tach cable on my ’70? Remove it from the gear drive from the distributor and pull it out to clean then lube? I really don’t want to pull the dash out to do it and my thoughts are that it can be done from under the hood. And while I'm at it, is it that easy with the speedo cable too? (IE from under the car.) Thanks!

You can get a fitting for your grease gun for this purpose. Easy does it; a little goes a long way.

Drill a hole in the cable and put a zerk fitting in..................(JOKE)

Somehow I think the recommended lube is a graphite type of lubricant, additionally dont some cables have a nub type of dealie on one of the ends so the inner cable will only come out from one end ? Peace,,,Moosie :seeya
