What's the best way to cut exhaust pipes?????

I don't posses any fancy tools, but I am going to begin to install my headers tonight. I will need to cut both of my exhaust pipes so that I can install the reducer that will mount up to my Hooker Headers. What are some of your guys or gals recommendation as for saws, TNT etc. Thanks in advance for any ideas :) :) :)

A reciprocating saw or what's commonly known as a sawall.

I was just cheap and used a hacksaw. Got it all off. Have also used a dremel as well.

After you cut your front exahaust pipe, will it line up with your headers?? You may be better off saving your front sections and having new pipes made that will fit on your headers. I have 2 sets of front pipes, but I didnt plan it that way! :) MJ

A regular pipe cutter(plier handles with chain and cutting wheels) is not that expensive, and is very user friendly under the car.

Well worth the money in my booK.
Good Luck,

Not a bad idea! It would probably save me a lot of time and energy if I went and purchased what I needed and had them made the right length. Would I need to go to a muffler shop to get some short sections of pipe that I could mate up to the collectors?????

Well if you can cut your pipe away from your car I vote on using a Bandsaw

I agree on a bandsaw or chain cutter but if forced to use a hacksaw and want a straight cut buy two cheap muffler clamps bolt 1 on each side of cut and use flat side of clamp as guide .Rotate when cuts progress .Sounds goofy but works.
