I went in and created a web page here on the forum. I didn't do any design work at all. Once the page was built, I used their upload software to put the pic I use for my signature. In your sig you can specify the location of your picture. the syntx is [img] your pic url [img]

go up to the top and create a homepage account for yourself, use the file manager to upload some pics to a folder that you create, then cite the URL in your signature between [IMG][/IMG]

Ok, I hate to advertise myself as the village idiot but after playing with the webpage stuff in here for over an hour, I couldn't do ANYTHING. It is not the cakewalk that has been communicated. I am really not stupid, but I just couldn't get ANYTHING to upload, appear, change sate, or anything. It was like I was unplugged. I would love some instructions in laymen's terms if you wouldn't mind. Hey, feel free to use tech terms like "thingy" and "bracket dealies" and all those computer terms. :) :) http://www.corvetteforum.cc/zeroimg/...withstupid.gif (not that anyone here is stupid, I am implying that you're all with ME !!

Re: how do I put pics on my signature? (Aerovette)

this is the way i do it.

1. i place all the pictures(.jpg) that i want to upload in the same folder.
2. log onto the forum.
3. hit the 'home pages' tab at the top of the page.
4. in the left corner of the screen you'll see a menu in red, with several choices.
5. click 'upload files'
6. when the next window pops open click the 'browse' tab
7. when this box opens find the folder whare your pics. are located and open it
8. select the photo(.jpg) you want to upload then click the 'open' tab
9. after you have selected all the photo's you want then scroll to the bottom of the page and then click the 'upload files' button click it.
10. the files will then begin to upload. depending on the size and quanity it may take a while.
11. once complete go to the file manager and confirm it up loaded.
12. once it has uploaded go to 'my profile'
13 from ther you can edit your sig!

example of loading a pic. of your car and posting it

lets name the file car1.jpg
in your sig the code to display this image would be:
(img)http://temp.corvette.net/c4/your url add. here//car1.jpg(/img)
replace () with [] [/]
of course with the img letters enclosed.
replace your url add. with your web site or host address.
car1.jpg would be whatever your file is named.

Re: how do I put pics on my signature? (DarkRose94)

You have to make a "home Page" and upload your picture to it. The corvette forum goes to that site to get the img .
If you click on the home pages ( not HOME ) tab it will take you to the setup page to make your home page. There you will up load your pictures.
The next step is the tricky one.

When you go to the profile page on corvette forum and select signature click on the image button and you will get the img /img . That's the HTML tag for start image, end image.

Between the img xxxxxxxxx /img inset your home page address. When you set up your home page it gave you the address something like this..... http://temp.corvettforum.net/c4/ocalaguy/

Note.... there is NO www in the address. Insert this address between the img tags. Also you need to put at the end of the address the file name of the picture you uploaded something like this...... http://corvettforum.net/c4/ocalaguy/mycorvette.jpg

Remember... everything has to be the same .jpg and .JPG are too different items. Type your address and photo name just as it is.

Do one picture and then review your work on the preview screen of the signature window. If you did it correct the photo will be on the top. Go to you original post asking for help and you will see the photo on the bottom of it.

Feel free to email me for more help or if this is not clear.

Follow OcalaGuy's advise. He, among quite a few others helped me out on this. I don't really know how I did it but with their help it worked.

OK I'm retarded, I logged in for the home page then it pops up with Creating your webpage. Well no big deal till I got to the bottom, theme? which one do I choose? Does it really matter?

doesn't really matter unless you actually want a page for people to view. You can use the file manager to store your pics and just link to them as described above.
