19x11 c5 replica tire sizes
I have upgraded to 18x9.5 in front with 275 35 18 c5 z06 replica wheels. I am having serious traction issues with the stock rears even with drag radials. I want to put a 19x11 replica wheel in the rear which has a +64mm offset, I know a 305 30 19 will fit without rubbing inner fenderwell, I need to know if a 315 25 19 tire will fit without issue??? Pirreli, nitto and michelin all make a competition tire in the 305 30 19 wich i will run if the 315 doesnt fit, and there are a few tires in the 315 25 19. Does anyone have this tire combo on their c5 z......?

hey do you have a the commorative edditon 04z?, where did you get your 19's c5 replicas at? iv been trying to find some but they all have the motorsport rivits in them.

No, I have the 04 silver. FactoryReproductions.com have the aftermarket c5 z06 wheels in 19s. They are out of Chino Ca. I think Corvette mike.com has them also.

right on thanks! how much did the 2 rear 19's cost if you don't mind me asking.
|
Im gonna have to check out the prices on the 18x12 repro C5 rims...

:lurk:

They were $290 or $300 per wheel plus shipping!

A 315/25/19 tire is way too short ~25.2" tall.

That was my other option, a 315 30 18 but i was worried about rubbing problems. I know the kuhmos work great in the 305 30 18 wich is the only comp tire i can find in that size. I have the 275 35 18 on front now wich is 25.6" in the Falken RT615, great tire for the money and the only rears to match are the 315 30 18, I am kinda afraid to run that size.

Whats the widest tire on the factory c5 z06 rear wheel that fits with no issues? 305 30 18 or 315 30 18???
|
Both of those sizes are way too short. Nitto makes a 305/35/18 tire, but won't have much tread life as they are a performance/competition tire.

Luckily my car is just a weekend warrior, only driven on sunny days so i dont mind the comp tire wear on the streets, its the best traction. I am concerned about the AH going wacky though. I know factory OD are 25.4 in front and 26.1 in rear and now ive learned there is a .5 difference f/r that would screw things up, is that only if you go UNDER the front OD by .5????? What are your f/r OD ratio??? The A6 are the exact OD of the falkensRT615 i am trying to run, 25.6....ahhhhhh, this is frustrating, i guess i am going to have to find out monday..ill keep you all posted! Is there anyone that runs a 315 30 18 rear that has had AH issues???
|
I think the toyo r888 might be the best for OD matches. 275 35 18 are 25.7 and the 305 35 18 are 26.3. That seems to be the best match up I can find. Looks like i will be spending another 1k on tires if these falkens screw things up on my car.$$$$$$$$$ It definetly costs to play. Thanks for the info!

Just for reference, here is what I run. It's a good DD setup.
F:275/35/18 R:295/30/19 Conti Sport Contact 2 IForged Seneka wheels F:18X9.5 R:19X10 I'm not a big fan of Conti tires, but size choices are somewhat limited. \db2 Carolina |
Thats 25.4 OD in the front and 25.9 in the rear OD. .5 bigger in the back. Thats a pretty good matchup, I wish all the competition tires were that close for c5z. I have a feeling that if you stay close to the same in the front, going over a bit in the rear without going .5 under the front OD than evrything should be fine with AH. Thanks Dbaker!
