Removing light "hazing " scratches
Found some type of "rub" mark on the hood of my 09 and used a polishing compound by hand and lightly tried to polish it out. I was able to get most of the mark out but then when I stepped to the side I could see the fine scratches caused by the polishing compound.
Is there any product I can apply by hand to remove these scratches and hopefully the remainder of the smudge mark? I do not yet own a buffer. You can not feel any of the scratches or the smudge mark. |
Maquires ultimate compond then Maquires Glaze #7 then Maquires NXT Polish - worked on my Black Truck

I know I will be buying a buffer eventually. Am waiting right now to see the price on the new PC.
But in the mean time, how about using Meguiar's Swirl-X by hand? |

Zaino All in One (bonds with the paint surface and has some cleaning properties) 3. Zaino Z5 (has some hiding/filling capabilities) The Meguiar's Scratch X could be used. I just never had much luck with it. Won't hurt. Just follow up with progressively finer polishes and then protect it. |
