1984 Corvette Digital Dash Repair Info Needed...
 

A friend of mine owns a Red/Red '84 4+3 Z51 and is having those digital dash "gremlins". Anybody know of someone that services these without having to go through Eckler's or MidAmerica and paying their $200 just to tell them what it needs??? Someone like Gordon Killebrew work on these for C4 owners??? He asked me and I told I might be able to get some info here for him. Thanks in advance.

whats the dash doing? mine would flicker and sometimes loose its ground(go black and light up the turn signals) i took it apart and re-soldered every single connection and ran a backup power and ground line. Took about 2 hours..been a month and it works as good as new

Here's where I plan on bringing mine when I get the shark back on the road and can affoard a few days of C4 downtime. This guy does authorized Rebuilds for GM and Tony sends all his to him. I think it's about $285 for complete rebuild. He'll redo the original or exchange. Glass must not be cracked.

Paul, From my conversations with other C-4 Owners, They suggest to simply get a rebuild digital dash, One from say Contemporary Corvette at 215-788-8693 is the most cost effective way to go. IMHO :)

its mothers california gold, but to be honest the paint is absolute crap..its spidering everywhere..the bumper is a different color and is warped and the paint as pretty much worn right off on the left rear decklid..the car wasnt taken care of very well. Im slowly working my way though it. Almost got the new interior done.
