Cayuga May 9th anyone?
 

Anybody interested in going to Cayuga May 9th?

I"m going with a bunch of friends to possibly get my ass handed to me by the likes of an ISF, a 10 second Sti, and maybe go dead even with an E92 M3. Aside from the Sti, I'm amazed at the performance the M3 and ISF get out of their cars considering they are similar HP, less torque and 500+ pounds more weight. I've been seeing 0-60 and 1/4 mile times at least as good as an LS2 Vette.

My ISF and M3 friends are stirring it up over on the the M3/ISF boards so hopefully it will be quite a turnout.

Let's have a few monster vettes come out and beat them down a little as my lowly LS2 is probably not up to the job for some of them.

With time do you figure the festivities will begin? I'm getting my exhaust done that morning and would love to see the battle. I promise I'll keep my mid 12 second C5 off the track. Don't want to bring down the average or in this case bring up the average.

I'm checking on the start time but I believe the track opens at 11am due to the noise ordinance.

mid 12 second C5? Bring it, that's a pretty good time for a C5.

If some pesky 10 second cars are coming out, I may have to slap on my M/T Drag Radials. ;)

If they get the exhaust install done quickly enough I will definately swing by. Wouldn't mind seeing how the car runs with it.

I'd like to see if I can actually get a respectable 60' with my Z ( street tires - PS2's ) and get something better than a 12.90 @ 113.6......disgusting!

While it's true I was launching softly my best in my C6 Coupe is:

13.1 ET
109 mph.


I'm going to try for the 12's this time round. If I manage to get your numbers I'd be happy.

My 12.900 @ 113.63 had a 2.173 60' on it......3 to 4 10ths available there if I can get a real good hook......I'm itching for a 12.5x!

I'm in! I want to see if I can drive to the track and run 9's and drive home!

Good time considering the 60 foot. What kind of power you making? You must be making more than my C6 (stock) because we have similar 60 foots but you have much more mph and better ET.

Can't be much over stock, the only mod to the car is a Vararam.......02 Z06 is probably 350 to the wheels? ( Speculating )

I only got the car last Sept.........

Oh, it's a Z06? I thought it was a "normal" C5. Those are still good numbers. The C5Z06 runs at least as good as a "normal" C6 like mine as it has similar power but lighter weight.

I too hope to be in the 12's this year. I'm a baby launching my car so I have to get a little more aggressive out of the box.

Did you hear...back to back 9.90's drove to the track and back home Tony. Pete went 10.60's....he's got way more to go to..I see 9's in his future.

You should be able to get into the 1.8's with the PS2's with some experience.
They are one of the best hooking true street tire at the strip I've seen, sometimes comparable to a Nitto D/R.
