Best way to get wax off trim?

I just bought a '08 C6, and the previous owner (or the dealer) got some wax on the black rubber trim and didn't get it off.

So now it has those white stains on it.

What is the best way to get those stains off?

Also curious, I did a sloppy wax job on my DD.

Stoner's Trim Cleaner

There are a number of ways to remove wax residue, but for me the easiest way is to wipe with Meguiars #39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner. It removes the residue effortlessly and leaves the trim looking better than before you waxed.

Plain old alcohol (or vodka) will do the trick.

When wax dries and sticks to trim pieces, an easy solution is to reapply the same wax to the problem area and wipe it clean before it dries again. Wax does a good job cutting itself.

Peanut butter. No lie. It works great.

A little No. 2 diesel fuel would be the cheapest approach. Similar petroleum solvents are the thinners in most liquid waxes.

Just be careful with alcohol, as it can dry out the plastic over time. If you use alcohol to remove wax, remember to give it a good coat of trim/plastic treatment. Personally, I use Meguiar's Natural Shine.

peanut butter does indeed work, then follow up with Poorboys Trim Restorer to make the trim pieces look new for months.

I ended up getting some Mother's Back to Black, and it worked great.

Thanks!
