New 2010 C6 Launch Control...factory 2 step?
 

Check out this new feature:

To engage the launch control system, the driver puts the traction control into competitive mode and then pushes the gas pedal to the floor. The system will hold a predetermined RPM based on which engine you have (LS3/LS7/LS9). When the driver quickly releases the clutch, the launch control modulates engine torque 100 times per second to get the best traction.

Cool feature. I can't wait to use HP Tuners to adjust the launch RPM...I do it by ear now, after 4 years I'm pretty consistent, it would be nice to not have to worry about launching at the same RPM each time!

Does this mean all 2010 Corvettes so equipped will have to enter Super Pro? :eek: Will we have to amend the rules of the Corvette Challenge?? :lol:

That is awesome... post it in the C6 performance section... Also I wonder how well it would work with a set of "GOOD" Drag Radials.. I imagine it would get your 0-60 down to 3 sec flat !!

I'm not well versed on this system, BUT is this what they have been using on the Mitsubishi EVO and the Subaru for the last few years?

I got it from there Jpee...it's in the post regarding the killing of the Z51 and the birth of the Grand Sport - good thread if you haven't seen it.

And when I get a 1.5 60 foot, it's a 2.7 second 0-60 :D

Bob I think it's pretty much the same, they noted several times in the presentation that unlike the GtR system, using it won't void your warranty in the Vettes. I saw some GtR's using it at PBIR and they would have handed my modded Vette its behind...those things are fast and with that launch control and 4wd they scoot no doubt.

It might keep the Vette rears from blowing...and that would be a good thing for me (not such a good thing for Roger :lol:).
