How to get the cd changer cartridge out?
I have a cd changer that was shipped to me, its getting power but cant manage to get the magazine out what do I do? The unit was working before it was shipped as it was from a good friend. The box looks a little beat up though...we shouldnt have left the magazine all the way in when we shipped it

take a look around the outside of the case. i believe there is an "emergency" eject mechanism. i don't have my owner's manual with me, but i think that might be covered in the section on the changer.

I just finished repairing my 12-disc changer. Nothing was happening when I pushed the AUX button. At first, I was able to eject the cartridge. I tried all the common fixes posted elsewhere but nothing worked for me. Then the cartridge stopped ejecting. That was the clue that there must be a jammed cd. I took the outer case off and sure enough, I could see a cd in the unit that wasn't returning to the cartridge. I got it un-jammed and now it works!
To answer your question...Remove the outer case. (6 screws) On the bottom of the unit there is a white plastic lever. Move it with your finger and it will release the cartridge.:):) |
interesting thanks a lot
