what rear end do I have?
 

I have a stock 1978 vette and was wondering exactly what rear end I have. 8.2" 10 bolt, 8.5" 10 bolt, 7.5" 10 bolt, 12 bolt? I just want to know exactly what axle I have. Thanks.

I don't understand the question?

Corvette's have their own specific independent rearend. You have half shafts instead of long axle shafts.

Not much help, I believe the gears are corvette specific also.

The 63-79 Corvette had an 8.5" ring gear specific to itself.
