Horsepower Sales Open House 7-11-09

Saturday, July 11th at 10 AM, Horsepower Sales of Florida will be hosting its annual Open House, car show & fun day. We can even do another Drag Racing Seminar if there are enough people who want it-just let us know.

We hope to have a great afternoon with some beautiful cars and great people. Just the desire to hang out with your Corvette buds and enjoy the camaraderie associated with America’s finest sports car!

This event is being held at our shop location. Address is in the signature. The Open House starts at 10 AM and the car show starts at 11 AM.

Burgers, dogs, sodas, chips, etc will be provided at no charge. Everyone attending will receive a goody bag including discount coupons for product and services provided by HPS of Florida.

There will be a raffle with all the proceeds going to “Rebuilding Together”. Rebuilding Together Broward is about preserving and revitalizing homes and communities. See www.rebuildingtogether.org . The prizes to date include a FREE Street Tune (for a C5 or C6) and a set of Mickey Thompson Drag Radials. Other manufacturers have indicated they want to be involved in this charitable event and will continue to update as we receive confirmation.

Juan Ruiz, President/CEO of Turbo Wax Products will be doing a full detail on one lucky participants Corvette. Since this is a several hour undertaking we need to have those planning on attending to pre-register for a drawing to be held at 5:00 pm on July 10th. This is a full professional detail for a corvette. This is a 6 hour project and has a value of $500. This will be done during the Open House. I am starting another thread on this item alone as we really need to pick someone the day before to make sure the lucky winner can be here a little before 10 AM so the detailer can get started. Anyone can watch what they do and I’m sure will pick up a few good pointers on detailing a car the right way.

There will be wheels on display from House of Wheels. The brand new 18x12’s for the big tire folks as well as some really sweet closeout specials. As other manufacturers confirm their attendance we will post who they are.

HPS will have its NHRA Stock Eliminator D/SA Corvette on display. This is a daily driven stock class C5 LS1 that has run ¼ mile times of 10.93 and has competed this year in NHRA Lucas Oil Divisional events (winner of the Gainesville LODRS Feb. 09) as well as the 2009 AC DELCO Gatornationals. This car is HPS’s test bed for the new Wild Thing Series performance packages.

Hope to see you all Saturday, July 11th !!

Roger, Jeremy, Jason, Jonathan & Mike

That sounds like fun, again. But, I will be on my cruise to Mexico that weekend so I can't make this one. Last year I learned alot from Jermey when he taught the drag racing course, Joe, take notes!

If I don't get the swine flue from Mexico, see you guys later.

Thank you Roger...
& I'll try to get Brownie to come along. Maybe he'll bring J.T.'s old
"LS7/A4" C5 ride, and you can get him involved in driving his no P/adder 10 sec. full body ride to your next PBIR Challenge event?! :steering:

He's busy with the track. He was with us at the Challenge on the 13th. Call him at the track or call his cell. He usually prefers a text message.
