IMO, if your going for loud get the BB Bullets or Borla stingers. While not the loudest you can't beat the NXT step exhaust for the money. I have NXT's and love them. Here's a couple of vids.

i love my b&b bullets, they look great, they sound great, they have really cool diffrent tones under diffrent loads and rpms.
i also have lg pro longtubes and no cats. its a very loud setup and makes the radio useless unless cruising on the highway at like 1200 rpm, and even then u gotta turn up quite a bit |
I've been post where people have put on both BB and Borla's and used them for a short time and took them off. has one reading this done that and was it really THAT bad inside the car?

Your crazy if you don't think the nxt step is loud. With stock manifolds, the sound of nxt step is pretty much identical to stingers(buddy had them). B&B are louder, but drone like a bitch even with stock manifolds. Add longtubes to the equation and it gets ugly. My nxt's with headers and no cats sounds downright badass IMO.

BB bullets ,the best thing i have done to the vette bar none . Puts the biggest smile on my face.

stingers sound great to me:thumbs:

stingers

I went B&B, myself  The drone ain't bad and I can use the radio just fine. Conversing with the wife is fun, too. If she has an attitude and wants to nag, I just cruise in a lower gear while she grumbles :D Otherwise they sound great...especially at WOT. I wanted the Stingers, but I got the B&B's for quite a bit less. Price was the decision maker. I have never heard the NXT's in person, so I can't comment on them. Good luck!

Borla for me all the way. They sound great and weren't nearly as loud as I thought they would be. I heard the stories of the drone with the A4 but there is none at all. Maybe the x-pipe has a lot to do with that. Regardless, I feel I can now add some LT headers without issue.
Here's my Youtube vid. Keep in mind that it was really warm outside and that the car had been driven for about 4 hours straight when this vid was shot... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roj7DM_N56w |
I got stingers and had them for a while on an otherwise stock setup, before adding LG street longtubes, metal matrix cats and X pipe. Even on the stock system I loved the stingers, but the full length longtube setup really makes for a hell of an exhaust tone. A little off topic, but my cats are removable. Any of you guys know about how many more horses I can expect swapping these for my offroad pipes on a track day?

Borla Stingers. Period. NO research required.

Are there any good deals here on the forum from time to time on any of the 3...? I guess for me it'll come down to the best deal it's not something I need to do TODAY! They all seem pretty goos. I had heard the Nxt Step weren't as loud but maybe I was wrong... and Borla's and BB speak for themselves. I just can't STAND the stock ones anymore.
|
i had pretty much all of them and i had magnaflows while magnaflows sound great they are too quiet i have long tubes and x pipe and bb bullet now and love it deep sound at idle deep low rpms sound and screams when you get on it and almost no drone
|
Is an X pipe a MUST have?
|
NXT!!!!
Use the money you saved for other mods. B&B and Borla are off their rocker on what they are charging for a catback! Corvette tax at it's worst. Shame on them:nono: |
