C6 GS gills look like early C4s?
 

Is it just me or do the new gills on the C6 Grand Sport look sort of reminiscent of the gills on the early C4's?

yes they do I was thinking the same thing. I saw the new GS at Carlisle and I was 100% in love. The new gills make the C6 looks so much better.:cool:

Didn't notice until now, good eye.

pretty much the same except the new ones are on an angle/larger

Which, in turn, are reminiscent of the gills on the 68 - 69 shark, which also look somewhat like the gills on the 66 - 67 Sting Ray. (I'm sensing a pattern here).

I must admit, I hadn't noticed before but, dang, it DOES add to the look... I like :)

nice to see them but I think the new gills look too "add-on"...still, it's a nice touch. now, about that big keister.......:ack:

They definitely look like an after thought.

They are much more reminiscent of the Ferrari 550/575 Maranello.

Yep and it sucks...so much for my '90 being more collectible for being the last year of a Corvette with round tail light and gills :lol:

Yeah I really like how the C6 went with the simple round tailight design which I believe was the traditional shape since '61 if I'm not mistaken (no offense to our '91-'04 friends :) ).

Yeah, but just think - now our "lowly" C4's look less dated :D

Do they have those for C4?

It's actually a kit we sell. We haven't tried them on a C4, but we are up for the challenge. I'm just not too familiar with the gill area on that vehicle.
