FLIP DRIVE - Finding the limit on 6 rib blower drive - Part II - 21 pounds

So the testing has continued from last time. The customer upgraded the fuel system...

For those reading this for the first time, here is a link to the previous post:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-f...wer-drive.html

Later we will post a dyno sheet, just wanted to get this up as we are very excited about the results of our detailed testing.

We went down in pulley size in .15 to .10 increments. Unfortunately we never found the limit LOL. :reddevil We maxed out the blower at 63,000 rpm impeller speed. We figured we would stop since we had run over the rated limit for rpm on a D1SC.

The results after testing:
Max boost achieved: 21 lbs
Horsepower achieved: 730+ RWHP
Blower pulley: 3.4"
Damper: Stock
Belt slippage: ZERO

Particulars about the car:
Corvette C5
Cartek built/forged 347
ProCharger D1SC Blower
4L60E automatic transmission

I suppose the next step is to try this with an F1 head unit. :yesnod:

So I guess this answers the question about what the Flip Drive can do versus an 8 rib alone...and do all of the same and then some while still saving your accessories. For those with an 8 rib system this kit will eliminate belt slip (do keep in mind that you may not realize that you have slip) and of course still provide added insurance to increase the life of your accessories. And for those with a standard 6 rib system...look no further. :steering:

:iagree: I heard this car might be capable of running a 9.23 (or quicker?) too! :D
Bit of an inside joke as Sonnie's (uniquec5 above) car ran a best of 9.24 (so far ;)). :yesnod:

Imagine what the car would have made on the 21 lbs run if the converter would have stayed locked. :yesnod:

You can see it unlock at ~5700 RPM.

Max, was this on 93 pump and Meth?

That's awesome to be able to hold that much boost on six ribs:thumbs: I have a question regarding the graph and the smoothness. I have seen multiple dyno graphs with cars equipped with the flip drive and they are very smooth. I'm not sure if your graph has do with your dyno as the smoothing can be adjusted like on most dynos, but it seems very 'jiggily' if that makes sense. Does this have to do with a poor signal?

Nice seeing the dyno chart and I noticed where the TQ Converter unlocked and that is a monster:thumbs:

The graphs are on zero smoothness. Most of the times you see them them with smoothing added.

To all those who've ordered, you should have received your kits already. It took a while to assemble them all. :)
Here is a picture taken during assembly this past weekend. All of the ones in the photo are sold out already. I only have a couple left, so for any one who wants one they should order ASAP.

Thank you.
