Wipers not "parking" (early C3)

Here's a little background. 1970 Corvette, wiper motor replaced 10 years ago, haven't used the wipers in a few years, but they worked fine then.

Here's my symptoms:
Flip the wiper switch and the door pops open, then the wipers work fine in slow and fast.

Turn off the wipers and the wipers go down, but do not drop down into the "park" location. Then the door closes on top of the wiper arm.

If I use the door override switch to keep the door up, the wiper arms are still not dropping down into the park location.

I can push the wiper arms down manually with little effort.

I have no vacuum leaks, no hissing, no door popping up at startup or shutdown and the headlights work fine.

So what makes the wipers drop down into park?

I don't have a 70' trouble shooting guide. but the 78' one I have shows a "park" relay inside the motor that is controlled by a purple wire from the switch. Make sure this wire is connected and clean.
Here is a link to the diagrams,
Gary

OK, I am an idiot and needed to check the simple things first.

The nut that holds the wiper arms to the motor was loose. Tightened it up and it all works fine.

We all make mistakes... I read the first post by you and not the last one.. So I typed up a list of things to check and then saw the last post... That I quoted... I'm going nuts...
