WTK: Average cost to have headers installed

Just bought some Kooks & cats to install on my 06 A6 convertible. I installed long tubes on my C5 myself without a lift but might shell out the coins to have someone else install mine this time around.

Just curious what people paid for install. One tuner shop told me $500.00. What's your experience?

to do the headers,x and cats back to the muffler the labor value should be around 3 hours i would guess (actually with a lift it takes about 1.5 hours in reality) I dont know what their labor value is but that seems high to me.
I would do some shopping around because it really is an easy job 9if you have a lift) and with good fitting parts goes pretty quick. If yo uwere closer stop by and we will knock it out. Good luck, paul

To be really honest, rust makes the difference on everything. If your bolts are rusty, it might be difficult. If it's nice and clean, grab some jack stands and get wrenching!

Side note - love the Avatar Paul. Let me guess - you as a child being told you were getting a Mustang rather than a Corvette for Xmas?

I paid $400 to have a set of catted ARH long tubes installed here in this area. (Not counting the tune).

Recommendations for installers in the Tampa Bay, Florida area would be appreciated?
